Araz Azimov: â€œMass migration of population from Armenia reaches the level of national disasterâ€

Baku. Habil Suleymanzadeh â€“ APA. â€œAzerbaijan is committed to multi-polar foreign policyâ€, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov told Austrian journalists, Austrian daily Der Standard wrote.

â€œTurkey is a close economic and political partner of Azerbaijan. At the same time, Azerbaijan has reliable relations with its northern neighbor Russiaâ€. Reminding about the partnership between Azerbaijan and the West, Azimov noted that the country doesnâ€™t intend to deploy foreign military bases in its territory.

Azerbaijan has rich natural resources and became global player now, the deputy foreign minister said. A rapid economic development is observed in Azerbaijan currently. â€œAt this rate, Armenia must realize what it earned. While Azerbaijan is making economic jump, Armenia suffers from economic plunge. The population leaves the country and this tendency reaches the level of national disasterâ€.

Speaking about Nabucco and other energy projects, Araz Azimov said one route shouldnâ€™t exclude another one. â€œDiversification of the energy routes will be useful for all sidesâ€.
