Baku. Habil Suleymanzadeh – APA. The newly released book by former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was severely criticized by Armenian community of the United States. In her 750-page book “No Higher Honor: A Memoir of My Years in Washington” Rice proudly remembers her efforts to prevent the adoption of “Armenian genocide” resolution in the Congress in 1991 and 2007. Rice said she had succeeded in her assigned task to mobilize an effort to defeat the resolution in the House of Representatives. “It was a matter for historians—not politicians—to decide how best to label what had occurred almost a century before”, Rice said. Speaking about the Armenian lobby antipathetically, Rice said that Armenian government had little interest in the resolution and it was pushed forward by the Armenian American lobby.

Getting angry with the Rice’s thoughts, American Armenian organizations decided to start campaign against her. They demanded from the authorities of Stanford University, where Rice delivers a lecture, to suspend her activity in the university.
