APA reports that the event participants visited Heydar Aliyev’s memorial in the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyrs. Then TurkPA representatives held a meeting at the Azerbaijani Parliament. MP Ahliman Amiraslanov said that the establishment of TurkPA is a significant event in the history of parliaments of Turkic-speaking countries. Saying that 4 Turkic-speaking countries were represented in the organization, Amiraslanov expressed confidence that Uzbekistan’s and Turkmenistan’s parliaments will join TurkPA in the near future.

In his speech, First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Ziyafet Asgarov underlined that there is no analogue of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the world: “We wish all Turkic-speaking countries to have such relations. The world needs an organization like TurkPA. It is a perspective organization”.

TurkPA Secretary General Ramil Hasanov said that TurkPA had its own place in the world diplomacy. Noting that TurkPA was a necessary organization for the world, Hasanov said that currently the organization was represented in several international organizations with observer and guest status.

It was noted that the commission members will discuss and approve the issues to be included in agenda of TurkPA meeting.
