Emergency Situations Ministry of Azerbaijan sends next aid shipment to quake-hit Van region of Turkey- <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku-APA. The aid convoy will reach to Turkey through Iranian territory, APA reports. Deputy Emergency Minister, general-lieutenant Etibar Mirzayev told journalists that Emergency Situations Ministry of Azerbaijan started to send aids to Turkey when the earthquake took place in Van region on October 23 under instruction of the President of Azerbaijan. Todayâ€™s aid convoy will deliver a thousand tent, 2 thousand blankets, 40 generators and 40 kitchen sets to quake-hit Van region.

â€œTill now the Ministry of Emergency Situations has already sent 250 tents, 700 sleeping-bags, 3000 blankets, 2000 sleeping sets and two field kitchens to Turkey. Alongside, 213 Azerbaijani rescuers are working in the Van region. As we know our rescuers saved 10 persons and took 41 bodies out of the ruinsâ€, said Deputy Minister.
According to E. Mirzayev total amount of aids sent to Turkey is around 1 million 7 hundred thousand USD. If necessary Azerbaijani Emergency ministry will send additional aids to Van region.

Deputy Minister said that in order to deliver aid convoy to Turkey in time, negotiations conducted with Iranian side and necessary permission has been got through diplomatic channels.

Deputy Minister also noted that tent settlement was installed by the Emergency Ministry rescuers and is given utilization of quake-hit people.
