Azerbaijani delegation to PACE raises issue of violation of human rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran

The elections held in Turkey on June 12 met European standards: â€œBeing the members of observation mission, during our stay and discussions in Turkey we saw again that the greatest problem, which concerns Turkey and Turkish people, is a terror. We must increase our support to Turkey in combating the terror and terrorist organization which killed thousands of innocent people. The increase of numbers of innocent victims of terror must seriously concern usâ€.

Besides, in her speech, the MP informed the assembly about the violation of human rights in Iran: â€œThe violation of human rights in Iran must concern us and the organization must protest it. The arrest of thousands of Azerbaijanis, who peacefully put forward their social and ecological demands against indifferent attitude of Iranian leadership to the drying up of Urmia Lake, which is in UNESCOâ€™s list, the torture against them, the pursuit of their family members, merciless tortures against participants of peaceful actions must concern us. Our Assembly mustnâ€™t be indifferent to it, must support them, and call the Iranian officials to stop repressions, tortures against innocent peopleâ€.
