Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The way to the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict passes through achievement of compromise between Baku and Yerevan

According to him, President Dmity Medvedev personally makes efforts to support the dialogue between Baku and Yerevan. Characterizing the Minsk Group as an important factor of regulatory mechanism, Lukashevich reminded that the contacts were recently held both in region and OSCE headquarters.

â€œBoth co-chairs and conflict parties confess Russiaâ€™s active and effective role in the negotiations. President Medvedev personally participated in several stages of the negotiations, the text of regulatory principles forming the base of negotiations process was developed on his initiativeâ€.

Lukashevich confessed that the negotiations process was not easy and noted that the progress would be possible in case of political will of the sides. He also said that the way to the conflictâ€™s settlement passes through achievement of compromise between Baku and Yerevan.
