They attempt to exert pressure on Azerbaijan, prevent its independent policy,†chairman of Azerbaijani parliament’s committee for legal policy and statehood Ali Huseynov said in his interview to the website of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reports.
Ali Huseynov said the steps against Azerbaijan are taken through some international nongovernmental organizations.
“In this regard, the recent reports concerning the right of property in our country, including the reports that Azerbaijan gave bribes to the International Boxing Federation are a part of this policy. I think this is an attempt to undermine the image of Azerbaijan and is done by the foreign forces supported by the Armenian lobby. Despite this, there is no threat to Azerbaijan’s independence. These forces can only damage democratic development of Azerbaijan, state of human rights, in other words the image of the country,†he said.
