Azerbaijani ambassador to both Mexico and Colombia submits credentials to Columbian president

The prospects of development of relations between the two countries, including energy cooperation and the issues causing mutual interests in the extension of current political relations were focused at the meeting, press service of the Azerbaijani embassy in Mexico told APA. Ambassador Mukhtarov informed the Colombian president about the history, culture, economic potential of Azerbaijan, as well as Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan and the negotiations on the solution to the conflict.

The ambassador submitted copy of credentials to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mukhtarov also met with the Senators and top officials of the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ministries of Energy and Mining, Transport, Commerce, as well as Colombian Diplomatic Academy.

The high-level mutual visits of the officials of both countries in the near future, the prospects of development of wide-range relations between Azerbaijan and Colombia, development of current successful political cooperation, economic and trade relations, mutual investment, cooperation in the fields of culture and education, as well as broadening contractual basis issues were discussed at the meetings.

Mukhtarov also met with the Colombian journalists and gave interviews.
