Safarov said this was positive case that the subcommittee of the US House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations didn’t include the separatist Nagorno Karabakh regime in foreign aid list 2012 FY. “They already know in the United States that the financial resources allocated in previous years were spent not for the civilians, but for strengthening the separatism and hostility”.

He said the international community understands that the Armenian policy doesn’t serve the peace. He said despite the Armenian lobby’s pressure, US Congress didn’t allocate financial aid for them. It was serious blow on the Armenian authorities and Nagorno Karabakh separatists. “Earlier the US officials stated that the resources allocated for Nagorno Karabakh have a humanitarian character, but no one made report on spending these resources. It assured the separatist regime to spend millions of dollars for own purposes. If it is a humanitarian aid, it should be allocated, first of all, for the people expelled from their homes in Nagorno Karabakh. I hope next phases will also be successful and despite the Armenian attempts the US Congress will not allocate financial aid for the Nagorno Karabakh separatists”.
