Azerbaijani Consul General to Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov delivers speech at City College, California

Baku - APA. Azerbaijani Consul General to Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov delivered speech at the City College, California, APA reports. The Consul General informed the participants about Azerbaijanâ€™s contribution to intercultural dialogues and tolerance dominating in Azerbaijani society for along years. Speaking about rich and variegated cultural heritage of Caucasus region, the diplomat said that the future of the region depends on refusal of ethnic expansion policy and chauvinism ideology: â€œUS may contribute to the development of the region, as well as increase efforts directed to the settlement process of Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€.

Touching upon the strategic significance of the region from the viewpoint of the US interests, the Consul said that Azerbaijan was interested in establishment of equal partnership relations between the two countries on the basis of mutual interests. Azerbaijani diplomat noted that successful regional policy should distinguish with the constancy of strategic ideas and stay away from double standards.
