NATO International School of Azerbaijan holds winter course on Cyber Security

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. NATO International School of Azerbaijan (NISA) began winter course on Cyber Security Monday in Baku. The course, which brings representatives of 15 countries together, will last until 13 December, 2009.

NISA Executive Director Mikayil Yusifov said the session would focus on cyber threats, national security in the boundless world, NATO’s cyber policy and information security, experience of the European Union and other organizations and etc.

Deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov mentioned the necessity to attach much attention to the cyber security issues in the contemporary world and spoke about determination and prevention of cyber threats. The deputy minister noted that attention of international organizations like NATO to cyber security shows that how greater role this challenge has in the world.

Romanian ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolae Uercu also attended the event.

NISA winter course is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and NATO Public Diplomacy Office.
