Baku. Viktoria Dementieva – APA. Both Israeli and Azerbaijani governments are interested in Baku-Tel Aviv flight and the talks concerning this issue continue, Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon-Lotem told journalists, APA reports.
The ambassador said that the flight is not only of commercial, but also of political and economic interest.
“The flights operate now. Both governments are interested in continuing the flights not only in terms of communications and commerce, but also in terms of economic and bilateral relations. There are not only political, but also commercial and economic interests. Anyhow, dialogue is necessary to achieve results,” he said.
Azerbaijani and Israeli media reported in late in July that Baku-Tel Aviv flight will be discontinued, because Israel is dissatisfied with the safety measures taken by AZAL. Discontinuation of Baku-Tel Aviv flight was postponed for a month early in August.
