Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev meets with EU High Representative Javier Solana

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev met with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana in Brussels, APA’s correspondent reports from Brussels. The sides told the press conference that energy issues, South energy corridor, Azerbaijan-European Union relations had been discussed during the meeting. Ilham Aliyev said the discussions offered good opportunities to improve Azerbaijan-European Union relations. Javier Solana underlined that Eastern Partnership program might have constructive impact on the situation in the region. Welcoming normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations, Solana hoped that it would have positive influence on the settlement of other conflicts in the region. EU High Representative expressed his confidence that Nabucco project would be realized.
