Yerevan – APA. “US, France and Russia have always considered that the normalization of the relations between Turkey and Armenia will be useful for the development of the region,” American co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza said, APA reports. He said that the agreement between the two countries covered and accelerated the activity and potential energy of the entire region.
“This energy will also influence the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. We consider that both processes will take place in parallel and the speed of the process will be different. The development witnessed by the co-chairs proves this,” he said.

According to the French co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier, if the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations continues successfully, this will have positive influence on the countries of the region.
“Turkey is one of the members of OSCE Minsk Group and being co-chairs we have not felt Turkey’s support reduce. The statement on the preparation of the roadmap is the beginning of the process and there is a long way ahead. We will intensify our efforts for the solution to Karabakh problem while any item in the document will be specified,” he said.

Russian co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov assessed the probability of signing of the roadmap on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict soon.
“Everything depends on how the peace agreement will be prepared after the presidents pass decisions and confirm basic principles of the settlement. We will begin working on the text of the peace agreement after the principles are confirmed,” he said.
