The discussions focused on a number of issues, including the referendum held in Azerbaijan on March 18. The parliamentarians said compared with the previous elections, the referendum was organized better, the delegation responsible for the voting process was well-prepared and participation in the voting was high.
Michael Hancock from the UK said PACE observation mission consisted of four men.
“We are criticized for it. There should have been more observers to follow the elections better. I think the election was successful. Azerbaijani people are satisfied with their government. These elections reflect the desire of the people,” he said.
Head of Turkish delegation Movlut Chavushoglu noted that the referendum was successful.
The disputes on the referendum will continue in the second half of the day.
