President of Azerbaijan receives Russian Border Service chief

Baku – APA. On April 24, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received first deputy director of the Russian Federal Security Service and chief of the Border service army general Vladimir Pronichev, press service of the President told APA. General Pronichev said Baku meeting of the border service chiefs of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran was organized by the orders of the presidents during their meetings in Tehran in 2007. He said they discussed the security of Caspian Region. He expressed confidence in further development of friendly relations between the border services of Russia and Azerbaijan.
The head of state emphasized that bilateral relations, including the relations in the field of border service are successfully developed. The president said the Baku meeting of the border service chiefs of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran created good opportunity for the bilateral and multilateral discussions.
