Dashnaks oppose the agreement with Turkey

The dashnaks discussed the statements of both countries about the â€œroad mapâ€ agreement between Turkey and Armenia and issued statement. They said Dashanksutyun wouldnâ€™t accept the relations with Turkey â€œat the expense of sovereign and sustainable Armenian state and national rights of future generationsâ€. â€œWe are loyal to these principles and donâ€™t accept the statement signed with Turkey on April 22. Dashnaksutyun stated for many times that the friendly neighborhood relations between the two countries can be established only after the recognition of Armenian genocide by Turkey and restoration of the rights of Armenian people. The lifting of blockade and unconditional establishing of diplomatic relations can be only first steps toward this. We consider that the signing of this document on the eve of April 24 and against the background of anti-Armenian statements and strong dictation of the Turkish authorities regarding the Nagorny Karabakh is a blow on the interests of Armenia and Armenian peopleâ€.

The dashnaks consider that this process is the changing of Armeniaâ€™s foreign policy course in the negative direction. â€œTaken it into consideration, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaksutyun will review its participation in the coalition soonâ€.
