Azerbaijani political scientists analyze the situation in the region

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. â€œThe regional processes entered into the new stage. A new architecture of the region is established and Russia will play important role in thisâ€, said political analyst Mubariz Ahmadoglu at the round table dedicated to the results of the President Ilham Aliyevâ€™s visit to Russia and the situation in the region. He said Russia was not a strategic partner to anyone and it had not a negative reaction to the NATO events in Yerevan last year. â€œRussiaâ€™s negative reaction to the participation of Azerbaijan in the NATO events in Georgia now shows that Russia doesnâ€™t determine its position yetâ€.

Political scientist Rasim Aghayev said Russia was marshalling forces and had wait-and-see attitude to the Turkey-Armenia rapprochement. In his opinion, after the forming of Russian position, the regionâ€™s architecture will be changed.

Political scientist Fikrat Sadikhov said President Ilham Aliyev made strong political step visiting Moscow and ignoring the Hillary Clintonâ€™s invitation to Istanbul.

Analyst Leila Aliyeva said Azerbaijan-Russia relations couldnâ€™t be strategic partnership because Russia armed the country, which occupied the lands of Azerbaijan.

Rashad Rzaguliyev noted that new Eurasian doctrine is formed in the region and Azerbaijan takes important part in this process.

Zardusht Alizadeh focused attention on the exclusive activeness in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He reminded that such cases were observed earlier too. Alizadeh considers that the normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations was agreed with US, Russia and Azerbaijan.
