It is very good”, said Matthew Bryza, OSCE Minsk Group US co-chair on his arrival from Yerevan to Baku on Thursday. He said it should be Russia to speak about expectations of Nagorny Karabakh summit in St. Petersburg in June. Bryza said he hoped for an important meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents before the summit. “We hope that the presidents will meet in Prague on May 7, but it has not been specified yet”.

Speaking about the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s remarks on the progresses expected in the negotiation process in near future, Bryza said it would depend on the realization of the settlement. “The main issue is the using of all diplomatic ways to sign the framework agreement. It is the issue depending on the presidents’ will and the negotiations”.

Bryza said “road map” agreement between Turkey and Armenia and Nagorny Karabakh solution were the different processes. “We live in real world and I hope that it will have positive effect, but these are different processes”.

Bryza said they aimed to learn thoughts of local peoples during their visit to Khankendi.
