OIC Deputy Secretary General calls the establishment of peacekeeping forces as a desirable idea

Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œIt is desirable idea to establish peacekeeping forces of the Organization of the Islamic Conferenceâ€, said OIC Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs Izzet Kamil Mufti at the press conference on the results of OIC law-enforcement agenciesâ€™ meeting in Baku. He said the organization needed in the opportunities, necessary actions and joint activity for this. The Deputy Secretary General said they needed in the UN decision as well. Mufti said the leading countries of the world didnâ€™t support the establishing of international center of organized crime control. â€œThe activity of such center can clarify the involvement of some leading countries, which support the organized crimes. I consider that the centerâ€™s activity should cover only the Muslim countriesâ€.

This idea was proposed by the King of Saudi Arabia in the OIC conference in Riyadh in 2006.
