Azerbaijan sees 43% decline in number of real estate compulsory insurance contracts

Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. In February 2016, 5,245 insurance contracts were signed on real estate compulsory insurance, down 43.2% in comparison with a year ago.

 

According to Compulsory Insurance Bureau, premiums from this type of insurance amounted to AZN 1.9 mln, up 29.7% from previous year. 68.4% of contracts were signed on residential houses and apartments, 0.7% on administrative buildings, 31.1% on other real estates.

 

Totally, 15,970 contracts were signed on real estate compulsory insurance in the first quarter of 2016, down 45.7% by contrast to a year earlier. Premiums also fell 10.9% to AZN 8.4 mln.

 

 

258 contracts were signed on compulsory insurance civil liability on exploitation of real estate (premiums – AZN 17,160) and 2 on compulsory personal accident insurance of passengers (AZN 335).
