First meeting of Azerbaijan-Russia Sub-commission on Economic Cooperation held

In order to expand cooperation on transport field between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Russian federation, as well as taking necessary measures in the direction of timely and operative solution of difficulties arising during international cargo transportation, Sub-commission within the Intergovernmental State Commission on economic cooperation issues between the two countries has been established, APA-Economics reports citing Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

The meeting was held under the leadership of co-chair from Azerbaijani side Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Humbatov, and from Russian side by Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitry Zverevin, with the participation of authorized representatives of relevant bodies.

Issues of road, sea, rail and air transport between the two countries, as well as the digitalization of transport and simplification of border crossing procedures, were discussed at the meeting.
