Azerbaijan plans to expand its production capacity in the aluminum industry, APA-Economics reports.
The production capacity of Azeraluminium LLC is planned to be increased within the framework of the “State Program for 2027–2030 on the Development of the Mining and Metallurgical Industries in the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
According to the document, it is planned to increase the annual production capacity of the electrolysis plant located in Ganja to 100,000 tonnes and the production capacity of rolled aluminum products to 50,000 tonnes.
The State Program notes that the measures are aimed at developing the metallurgical industry, expanding value-added production areas, and increasing export opportunities.
Note that the program generally aims to create new production capacities in the mining and metallurgical sector, bring deposits into economic circulation, and increase the sector’s export potential.
