The United States will continue to attempt to bring the parties' positions closer together on the Ukrainian settlement, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated this in an interview with WABC radio, APA reports.
Asked to comment on the possibility of resolving the Ukrainian crisis, Rubio stated that "there is no deal yet." "As President has stated, we will continue to take a position that gives us the opportunity to change the situation and bring the parties' positions closer together. The President is ready for this, and we will continue to make these attempts," Rubio stated.
"This conflict will end sooner or later, and it will be resolved at the negotiating table," the US Secretary of State emphasized. "It will end with a negotiated deal," he added.
"We continue to engage with both sides. He will speak with Zelenskyy today. Our team – Steve and Jared– went to Moscow and Kyiv a couple of weeks ago and spoke with them. We will continue to engage and look for opportunities to change the situation and end the conflict," Rubio emphasized.
