Azerbaijan forecasts 4.8 percent inflation for next year, it has been reflected in the Ministry of Finance's "Statement on the initial indicators of the state and consolidated budgets of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026", APA reports.
Inflation is forecasted to be 4.5%, 4.3% and 4.2% in 2027, 2028 and 2029, respectively.
It was noted that inflation forecasts for 2025-2026 were slightly lowered due to weak global demand for trade goods in developing countries, and were significantly revised upwards in developed countries, especially in the United States.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s July 2025 report estimated global inflation at 4.2 percent for the current year (previous forecast 4.3 percent) and 3.6 percent for 2026 (same as the previous forecast), which is lower than the 5.6 percent figure for 2024.
