Most equities in Asia-Pacific traded lower on Monday as market participants in the region reacted to the negative sentiment that came out of the US markets where investors weighed the Ukraine crisis, company earnings and expected rate hikes to end lower on Friday, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng went down by 1.25% at 5:45 am CET, as South Korea's Kospi Composite fell 1.44%. Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 2.12% or 587 points at 5:46 am CET, as the Australian S&P 200 added 0.23%.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite traded 0.63% lower at 4:30 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite down by 0.54% at 4:46 am CET.
