UniBank to double its authorized capital

Baku. Elnur Huseynquluyev – APA-Economics. UniBank held the extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on December 11, mainly to discuss the increase of the authorized capital of the bank. The shareholders unanimously voted for doubling the capital.
The bank’s authorized capital will be increased to AZN 30 million with one or several share issues during 2009. The share issues will be distributed among the active shareholders of the Bank.
The bank’s AZN 15 million authorized capital is 76.43% owned by individuals, 0.07% by legal entities, 15.15% by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and 8.33% owned by the German Investment Corporation DEG.
As at October 1, UniBank’s assets at AZN 467.235 million, loan portfolio at AZN 347.932 million, deposit portfolio at AZN 111.902 million and total capital at AZN 64.129 million.
