AIG Caspian sees a 12% decline in premiums

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. American International Group Caspian Insurance Company (AIG Caspian), a US-Azeri Joint Venture, earned AZN 1.3 million in premiums during January-October, a 12.4% decline on the same period last year.
The company paid AZN 161 000 for insurance claims. Its profit for ten months reached AZN 53 000.
AIG Caspian provides only voluntary types of insurance services in Azerbaijan.
Owned by Caravan Investment (51%) and American International Group İnc. (49%), AIG Caspian has been operation since 1999. As of November 1, its share capital reached AZN 3.5 million. The insurer provides 7 voluntary types of insurance services.
