US-Azerbaijan Economic Partnership Commission to meet today

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The second meeting of the US-Azerbaijan Economic Partnership Commission will take place in Washington on November 17, said Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance.
The meeting will be co-chaired by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Samir Sharifov and Daniel S. Sullivan, US Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs.
The agenda of the meeting includes the expansion of cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, information technology and transport.
Besides, implementation of the technical assistance projects offered to Azerbaijan by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), new joint projects and cooperation in improving the legal framework will be discussed at the meeting.
The first meeting of the economic partnership commission was held in Baku on February 7, 2007.
