Yuri Shedrin: Azerbaijan-Russia trade turnover to reach $2 billion this year

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva - APA-Economics. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia is expected to reach $2 billion this year, Russian trade officer in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin.
He said that the Azerbaijani-Russian trade turnover amounted to $1 698.7 million in January-September, up 52.6% on the same period last year.
â€œAzerbaijan is the fifth largest trade partner of Russia among the CIS countries,â€ he added.
During January-September, 11 979 cars, 3 907 trucks, 88 special-purpose vehicles, 111 buses, 126 tractors, 41 cranes, 2 helicopters, 20 metro cars were imported to Azerbaijan.
1.031 million tons of oil was transported via Baku-Novorossiysk in January-October.
According to him, the delivery of Azerbaijani goods to Russia increased by 40% to $267.1 million.
He added that foodstuffs account for 67.9% of total exports Azerbaijan sent to Russia.
Yuri Shedrin said that Russia is the largest buyer of Azerbaijani goods like fats and vegetable oils, sugar, hazelnuts, fruit and vegetable juices, fresh fruit and vegetables, brandy, etc.
