Azersighorta tops for 1H08 insurance claims payment in Azerbaijan

Azersighorta State Insurance Company tops the list with AZN 6.19 million, or 28.1% of the total payments or insurance claims.
According to the list of insurers, MBASKâ€™s share in insurance claim payment was 11.40% and A-Groupâ€™s 9.68%.
Three insurers (Qarant Sighorta, Amrah Sighorta and Nishan) made no payment for insurance claims.
There are 28 insurance companies in Azerbaijan. The total revenues and expenditures for the first half of 2008 made AZN 120.365 million and AZN 12.930 million respectively.
They paid AZN 792 991 to the state budget during January-June.
