Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. In January-February, 2012, volume of euro cash purchased by Azerbaijani population from banks made €219.5 mln, up 58.3% from year earlier.
At the same time, volume of euro cash sold by population to banks declined by 30.5% to € 19.4 mln.
So, total cash euro transactions made € 238.9 mln, up 43.4% from previous year.
As it seems, population’s cash euro purchase exceeded the sale by 11.3 times. This was caused by personal and business visits of Azerbaijani citizens to Eurozone and retail exports.
