Mugan Bank sharply increases Q1 profit

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Mugan Bank’s profit during January-March, 2012 made AZN 2.828 mln, up 95% from year earlier.

Bank says total income rose 24% to AZN 8.931 mln, including interest income rose 18% to AZN 6.117 mln, non-interest income grew 39% to AZN 2.814 mln. During the same period, expenditures rose 10% to AZN 6.649 mln, as well interest expenditure soared 3.6% to AZN 2.802 mln, non-interest surged 16% to AZN 3.846 mlnl.

Interest profit increased by 34% to AZN 3.315 mln, non-interest loss dropped 20% tom AZN 1.032 mln.

Remind that, owned by 4 individuals Mugan Bank has been in operation since 1992. The bank operates 30 branches, 51 ATMs and 96 POS-terminals across the country.
