South Sudan joins World Bank, IMF

Baku - APA-Economics. South Sudan, which gained independence in July of last year, has been admitted to the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group, APA reports citing AFP. South Sudan’s Finance and Economic Planning Minister Kosti Manibe Ngai on Wednesday signed pertinent agreements with IMF and WB executives in Washington.

South Sudan, already the 188th member of the IMF and the WB, has been allotted an initial IMF loan quota of $189.3 million.
