Q1 insurance premiums on compulsory vehicle insurance exceed AZN 11 mln in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. 10 participants of Azerbaijan Compulsory Insurance Bureau have collected AZN 11.1 mln insurance premiums on compulsory insurance of civil responsibility of vehicle owners in January-March, 2012.

According to ACIB, 146,500 insurance contracts were signed in the first quarter and 42,800 of these were related with vehicles registered in abroad and imported to Azerbaijan for transit and insurance contracts for a month.

In March, the insurance premiums on compulsory insurance of civil responsibility of vehicle owners made AZN 5.9 mln. 79,600 insurance contracts were signed in March and 79,600 of these were related with vehicles registered in abroad and imported to Azerbaijan for transit and insurance contracts for a month.

Note that, contracts and premiums approximately doubled.

Remind that, ACIB has been in operation since 2011. The Bureau includes Pasha Sigorta, Ateshgah Sigorta, Standard Insurance, AtaSigorta, Xalg Sigorta, AXA-Mbask, AsSigorta, Alfa Sigorta, Azersigorta State Insurance Company and Mega Sigorta.
