ADB increases investment in Azerbaijan by 3%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Asian Development Bank invested AZN 13,257.9 thousand capital in Azerbaijanâ€™s main capital during January-February of 2012, up 14.7% compared to a year ago, State Statistical Committee told APA.

According to committee, the share of ADBâ€™s investment in foreign capital made 3.3%.

Note that, Azerbaijan has been a member of ADB since 1999.

In mid 2011, ADB conformed new business plan on Azerbaijan for 2011-2013. Within the framework of the business plan, the Bank intends to allocate nearly $ 1 bln for implementation of energy, transport and water supply projects.

Note that, the total amount of loans for Azerbaijan confirmed by ADB as of January 1, 2012, made $1,094.4 mln.
