Premiums on voluntary insurance of real estate rises 60% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. In January-February, 2012, AZN 3.194 mln premiums on voluntary insurance of real estate were collected in Azerbaijan, up 60% from year earlier.

According to APA-Economics, the payments on voluntary property insurance rose by 4.2% to AZN 208.850 during the same period.

At the same time, AZN 851.466 was collected on compulsory property insurance during the first two months of the current year. AZN 814.177 thousand of this came from Compulsory insurance of real estate, AZN 37.289 thousand â€“ from compulsory insurance of civil responsibility on exploitation of real estate. Note that, no compulsory insurance payments were carried out in January-February, 2012.

Most of premiums belonged to AXA-Mbask, Ateshgah Sigorta, Standard Insurance, Azersigorta, AzSigorta and International Insurance Company.

Note that, Azerbaijan-based insurers collected AZN 58.916 mln insurance premiums, paid AZN 9.547 mln in January-February, 2012.
