Baku hosts next meeting of CAREC Program

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The 14th meeting of the CAREC (Central-Asian Regional Economic Cooperationâ€™s program) Trade Policy Coordinating Committee is being held in Baku.

According to APA-Economics, the Head of the department of foreign trade politics and WTO of the Ministry of Economic Development Bakhtiyar Alishov spoke about CAREC and noted that this program had passed the successful development stage during past 10 years.

Ana LucÃa Coronel, IMF Mission Chief for Kazakhstan Middle East and Central Asia Department marked that, membership issues of CAREC member-states to WTO will be discussed within the event.

Besides, a seminar on CAREC-2020 Midterm Priority Projects for Simplifying Sectors of CAREC Programâ€™s Transport and Trade will be held, today.

Note that, on June 7-9, next meeting of high-ranked officials of CAREC Program will be held in Baku. Representatives CAREC Program member-states, WB, IMF, EBRD, ADB, IDB and UN Development Program will attend the event.
