NBC Bank sees 16% growth in assets from beginning of year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of May 1, 2011, NBC Bankâ€™s assets stood at AZN 54.048 mln, up 15.6% from a year ago.

Bank says loan portfolio rose 10% to AZN 44.285 mln, deposit portfolio soared 2.6 times to AZN 17.257 mln, term deposits â€“ 2.5 times to AZN 14.298 mln, demand deposits â€“ 3.3 times to AZN 2.959 mln, populationâ€™s deposits â€“ 2.1 times to AZN 13.901 mln.

Total capital increased by 14% to AZN 18.344 mln, authorized capital â€“ 3.03% to AZN 16.071 mln.

Note that, total incomes made AZN 1.885 mln, expenses â€“ AZN 2.176 mln in January-April, 2011. Consequently, bankâ€™s profit made AZN 709 mln.

Number of clients rose 31% to 11,423, individuals rose 31.4% to 12,129, legal entities â€“ 6.5% to 294. At the same time, number of employees rose 10.2% to 150, average monthly salary increased by 74% to AZN 696.

Remind that, NBC Bank has been in operation since 1992. The bank operates 7 branches and 33 POS-terminals.
