Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. 33 deals were registered at 40 trading sessions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX) in May, 2011. The auctions were attended by 10 banks.
The total volume of e-trades of currency section in accounting month has made 42.192 mln in manats or 53.407 mln in dollar equivalent, down 3 times compared to April, up 52.6% from a year ago.
The average daily turnover in “Bourse E-System of Trades†on USD/AZN reached approximately $ 1.335 mln, then that the average volume of each transaction has made $ 1.618 mln.
At the same time, five bank-leaders on auctions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange have been determined: “Azerbaijan Industry Bank†(34.76%), “Xalg Bank†(18.72%), “Unibank†(14.51%) and “International Bank of Azerbaijan†(10.30%) and “AGBank†(6.37%).
