Samir Sharifov: â€œThere is no need for establishment of special body for providence of transparency in fulfillment of budget in Azerbaijanâ€

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. There is no need for establishment of special body under the Finance Ministry for providence of transparency in fulfillment of Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget, said FinMinister Samir Sharifov.

Touching upon adoption of amendments made in this yearâ€™s state budget and increase of some expenses, the minister noted that the expenses would be directed to financing of social measures. The additional expenses will be directed to financing of pension reforms and as a result of it, the pensions will be increased. At the same time, salaries of persons working at budgetary organizations, social benefits and payments will be risen too. There is no need for establishment of special body for providence of transparency of itâ€.

According to words of Sharifov, there is a non-governmental organization under the IMF, which is engaged in budget transparency issues. They calculate the index of budget transparency: â€œLately, index indicator of Azerbaijan on it was low, but recently, we achieved big progress. That is, this index makes 43 now. I suppose that, the mentioned index will rise more as a result of the several measures taken by Azerbaijani governmentâ€.
