Azerbaijani and Lithuanian taxation bodies sign cooperation agreement

Baku. Ali Ahmadov - APA-Economics. The Lithuanian delegation led by Tax Inspectorate Chief Modestas Kaseliauskas has today arrived in Azerbaijan.

The main purpose of Kaseliauskasâ€™s visit is to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countriesâ€™ tax administrations in taxation, as well as the mutual exchange of experience.

Directions for future cooperation, expansion of a legal framework, and boosting cooperation in taxation were discussed during the bilateral meetings.

The guests got acquainted with the Special Tax Service Departmentâ€™s activity, the "single-window" system and phone reference service under the Tax Ministry.

Within framework of the visit Azerbaijani Tax Ministry (Fazil Mammadov) and the Lithuanian Finance Ministryâ€™s State Tax Inspectorate (Modestas Kaseliauskas) have signed an agreement on technical cooperation.

The cooperation agreement between the two countriesâ€™ tax administrations will play an important role in expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of taxation between Azerbaijan and Lithuania.

The agreement will enhance the effectiveness of an Azerbaijani-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission, as well as play an important role in the development of international relations in the field of taxation.
