Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. In January-March, 2011, Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF) gathered AZN 1.156 mln calendar contributions, $1.347 mln and €0.183 mln calendar fees from participating banks.
According to ADIF, Fund’s insurance reserves rose 7.81% to AZN 34.5 mln in comparison with the beginning of year. Deposits of individuals at member banks increased by 9% to AZN 3.173 mln, non-protected deposits went up 17% to AZN 1.230 bn, protected deposits increased by 4.4% to AZN 1.943 mln. At the same time, number of depositors whose deposits are protected rose 1.1% to 5,485,375.
Note that, deposits placed with annual interest rate above 12% are not insured by the Fund and compensation is not given them.
Remind that, ADIF is in operation since 2007.
