Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2011, the number of plastic bank cards made 4,342 thousand units, up 284,000 or 7% from year earlier. CBA says 11,767 thousand operations have been conducted via debit cards during first quarter. The operations amounted as AZN 1,484 mln.
So the number of operations conducted via debit cards rose 9.9%, volume – 17.3%, in January-March. The average price of operates was AZN 126.1.
At the same time, 673,000 operations have been conducted via credit cards and amounted as AZN 178 mln, up 26.3% and 30.8% in comparison to a year ago. Average price made AZN 264.5.
