Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Prices and average index of service tariffs of consumer goods are expected to rise 8.2% in the Central Asia and South Caucasus, economist of ADB’s Central and Western Asia Department Tatsui Nayakava told APA.

Nayakava said that the inflation is expected to be 8.2% in the region (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan) in 2011, 6.6% in 2012, while it was 7.5% in 2010: “In general, the inflation level in Central Asia and South Caucasus is acceptable. But, next year, food products are expected to be cheapened and this will cause inflation to decrease”.
