ADB: Average economic growth rate in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus region will be 6.7% this year

Baku. Nijat MUstafayev – APA-Economics. The average economic growth rate is expected to be 6.7% in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus, this year, said the economist of ADB’s Central and Western Asia Department Tatsui Nayakava.

According to him, the GDP growth rate in 8 countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan) will be 6.7% in 2011, 6.9% in 2012, while it was 6.6% in 2010: “In general, the average economic growth rate on Asia region made 9% in 2010. This will be 7.8% in 2011, 7.7% in 2012”.
