Azerbaijan increases foreign trade turnover with CIS Countries

Baku. Ali Ahmedov â€“ APA-Economics. In January-March, 2011, 79.84% or $ 5 857.644 mln of Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign trade turnover was contributed with the far foreign countries. According to State Customs Committee, trade turnover rose 20.33% in comparison to a year ago.

The export made $ 487.791 mln, import - $ 1 269.853 mln, up 12.2% and 63.06% compared to a year ago.

Most of growth in trade operations was observed with CIS countries. Thus, $ 1 478.806 mln or 20.16% of trade turnover was contributed with CIS Countries. The trade operations with CIS countries rose 2.16 times compared to a year ago. Export to these countries made $ 857.024 mln, import - $ 621.782 mln, up 2.83 times and 63.2% from year earlier.
