Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of March 1, 2011, the highly liquid assets of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 1.687 bln. According to APA-Economics calculations, this makes 83% than demand deposits as at the same period.
Banks’ highly liquid assets include the cash funds and correspondent funds and these funds have 100%-liquid. Thus, the banks can return the 83% of demand deposits in any time.
