Share of overdue credit reaches 5.6% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ali Ahmedov – APA-Economics. As of March 1, 2011, total crediting in Azerbaijan’s economy made AZN 9 152.8 mln, up 9.7% compared to a year ago. CBA says AZN 509.4 mln or 5.6% of this was overdue credits.

30% or AZN 2 748.3 mln was households. Loan directed to trade and services stood at AZN 2 144.2 mln (23.4%). AZN 448.5 mln or 4.9% went to transport and communication spheres, AZN 685.8 mln or 7.5% to industry and share of production.

AZN 979.7 mln or 10.7% was for energy, chemistry and natural resources, AZN 439.8 mln or 4.8% for agriculture and its processing, AZN 647.6 mln or 7.1% for construction and property sphere, AZN 43.5 mln or 0.5% for other spheres.

AZN 2 501.4 mln or 27.3% of loan s was short-term, AZN 6 651.5 mln or 72.7% - long term loans.

State bank (International Bank of Azerbaijan) invested AZN 3 941.3 mln or 43.1%, private banks invested AZN 5 002.7 mln or 54.7%, non-banking organizations invested AZN 208.9 mln or 2.3% in Azerbaijan’s economy.

AZN 5 888.6 mln or 64.3% was in manta, AZN 3 264.2 mln or 35.7% - in foreign currency.
