Demirbank and IFC sign new cooperation agreement

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Today, Demirbank and International Finance Corporation have signed an agreement about improvement of bank’s corporative management experience. According to this agreement, IFC will assess the bank’s corporative management experience and take measures to improve it meet the international experiences.

Chairman of bank’s board of directors Roman Amirjanov said that, according to agreement, consulting services would be applied to the Board of Supervisory, guidance and main shareholders: “IFC will help to the bank to improve the documents, strengthen the elucidating of financial accountings and information, improvement of internal audit functions”.

IFC Project Manager Caroline Bright said that tis was the second agreement between IFV and IFC on consulting services: “First document was signed in May, 2011 and according top this document covered to conduct consulting services about the management of bank’s loan portfolio, risks, management information system, human resources, development of internal audit”.

Remind that, Demirbank has been in operation since 1989.
